Free fire wood for the taking

If anyone in the Long Island (Nassau, Suffolk) area would like some free firewood (Oak), just send me a message. I'm not sure of the cordage. The stacks are approx. 2-3 feet high and around 7 feet across. Logs are from 16 to 18 inches long and I have found no insect infestation.
Tree fell in a storm about a year and a half ago. My son-in-law split most of it but left some un-split stumps behind (my daughter and son-in-law have since moved out and I have no use for the firewood).

It's your's for the taking. I have no use for the wood and I hate to see it go to waste.

I'm sure someone will take you up on your offer in short order. Lots of burners on here from LI.
 
Is the ladder and wrecking bar included?

I doubt it. Are you up against the wall, wood-wise? Might be time to lay in a supply of Eco-bricks; Dry wood is very hard to find, especially this time of year.

Kinda far, but I can recommend a good honest guy in Huntington Station ... unlikely he'll deliver all the way to Center Moriches though. If you have a pick up he'll load you right up. Last year a pallet (about 1/3 cord) was around $70. He'll let you pick your pallet, and even let you do a re-split & meter test if you want.

I'm set for this winter (hopefully), but have been picking up rounds to for future splitting through this summer. When it gets to this time of year, around here anyway, everyone starts scrounging HARD (seems like so many people dont season their wood). I went to a grab that was posted on craigslist last week, and there were already three guys there with SUVs/Trailers. Back in the beginning of the summer, that wood would have sat for days and I would have gone back 3 times.

Bass biting out there by the inlet yet?
