Many people ask the question on how to adapt the 2 1/4 inch oak pipe to the 3 inch opening on the stove so I thought I would post how I did mine. Might be a good candidate for a STICKIE.

I went to the local performance muffler shop and had them make me up an adapter that was a little over 3 inch on one side and 2 1/4 inch on the other. I had to go back a few times to have them get the dimensions right but in the end It fits like a glove and doesn't look Micky mouse. I then went to Home Depot and got some neoprene pipe insulation and wrapped the OAK pipe from the wall to the stove.$5.00 for the adapter done installed. 0929141637a.jpg

Nice job. Can you describe the insulation you used? Is it a wide tape type that wraps along the OAK tube? Thanks.
