Really? I have no issues with the T6 or the Castine. The glass gets cleaned maybe once a month after getting dusty. I'm surprised that you didn't have clean glass on the CapeCod or now on the Oslo.

On average, it's the cleanest glass of any stove I've used. Most of my others would dirty up the glass most of the time unless I could run on high for a while. That's hard to do in the shoulder seasons.

Mine gets good and dirty. Oh well.

It stayed pretty clean on the other stoves, but not if left low for long periods of time.

That's odd. When burning 24/7 we almost always set to the air control to it's lowest setting once the fire is going well.

Just goes to show so many variables can influence the design of the product!

Amen, the differences in climate, wood, altitude, flue and especially the user make it so that it's a wonder they work at all.

I would say my minimum height chimneys have a lot to do with it.
They all had been plenty capable of keeping clean glass, don't get me wrong. But the Ashford just stays clean longer for me.

How does chimney height effect the glass?

Longer chimney will increase draft. Better draft will allow glass to stay cleaner. Wood moisture will be a factor as well.

That makes sense. We may have a bit more draft with the 20ft straight up flue.

Does anyone know if BK makes a short leg kit that would fit the Ashford? Love the stove, but only have a 30" lintel height.... Thanks
