Just fired up the stove to take the chill out of the house on a rainy October day.

The stove ignited fine and seemed to be going for a minute or two, but then I heard a pop/band sound. The flame got lazy and the glass filled with smoke.

Any ideas?

Try running the stove in test mode and see if all fans motors etc are working

Hmmm, pop/band sound, what song did you hear?

Sorry, I couldn't resist, LOL!

Stand down, gentlemen... This was a user error.

During my pre-season cleaning, I must not have closed the combustion blower cover plate securely. The popping/banging (band) sound I heard was it jostling out of place - noticed it once I pushed the ash pan out of the way.

The lesson, as always - I am an idiot.
