Feeling the Heat

Bought a P61A for the basement in March as some may remember, we decided to give the living room on the main floor more of a country look with some minor renos and decos, so we decided that a white XXV would look great in that room. Being an open concept I'm sure we will do very well with heat, as the task will be split between 2 stoves. Very easy install, straight out and up, I will post pics in the coming weeks.

Congrats having two harmans is nice no worries about heat mate. Now you just have to keep your pellet stash full and your set send pics of the new stove

Ya, as for pellets I'm thinking I should be ok with 3 tons as the duty will be split, no shortages here if I need more.

Congrats. I can see where that white would look nice in the right room. Post of some pics when you can!

Welcome to the "I own two Harman's club"

Bought the materials yesterday for the hearth pad, mantel and wall.

Wondering if you ever thought of another heat source not needing electric? I have kicked around a small coal stove for upstairs but really not sure...the XXV in the downstairs family room does a fantastic job heating about 2000 sq ft of house. We have had the electric go out for a few minutes but nothing long lasting. Just curious and can't wait to see the pics.

The only option there would have been wood and I dont feel like working that hard when I'm in my 60s and on. Coal stokers, dont think coal is readily available here at all, I cannot get natural gas either and they would not bring it here as everybody around me has recently converted from oil to propane. I have a Mitsubishi heat pump but as we get close to -17c that stops working. As you can see very limited options.

sounds good. I would not want to do a wood stove either! LOL I do enough cutting and splitting (and that is not much), for campfires when we go camping or in back yard. Good luck and pics will be nice.

XXV came in Saturday morning, worked my butt off all weekend, here is the wip. Should be up and running within 2 weeks, waiting for the inspection.

Nice looking stove let us know when it's ready

I really loved my XXV. ..it would burn just about any ol pellet I could find! I always saved the good pellets for the insert and burned the ashy stuff in the XXV.

Very nice XXV!

Very nice XXV!

Same experience, I can run just about anything in this stove, I don't even care if the pellets are a clumped mess from being previously wet.

You will have no heat in the house and here are going to be very nice in the living room.
very nice
