Indoor Boilers - CT Dealers?

I installed my own. I think you will find a lot of guys would wood boilers end up doing it themselves. I have a Woodgun by Alternative Heating in PA. It has an oil back up and I connected it to the exisitng hot water baseboard. Been a learning experience and I am happy I did it. I would definately go through the boiler room going back several years. There is lots of information on the different systems here.

I'm in Ct and went with my unit because it fits MY needs. You will find it very dissatisfying when you realize no one wants to do the install. Those that do want an excessive amount to do it. I'm doing my own. Saved a ton. I'm glad I did it this way. I'm p learning more and more each day.

I suggest you look through the first pages or more and read what others have spoke about in the past. Try and kick holes in each choice. That will lead to what works for YOU. Most people in here are somewhat bias to what they have. I like this but someone else doesn't. I think this unit sucks but others love it.

Do your homework and don't make a decision because some guy seemed knowledgeable. Ultimately it's your situation that should dictate your decision.

I went with Flex Fuel 30kw after two years of research. It worked for me. I guess I'm bias as well. Lol.

I'm just north of you in mass and purchased my unit from AHONA and can say enough good things about them. Give Mark a call to discuss them. It can't hurt. Wicked nice guy. I can imagine the issues I would have had putting my system together without his help.

I have a thread on this forum at https://www.hearth.com/talk/threads/vigas-boiler.87144/ that show my installation shy of the the insulation I completed my system with

in NH Craiglist their are several brands of boilers for sale at reasonable pricing. a new flex fuel, econoburn and a complete vigas set up that was purchased from AHONA according to ad. worth looking into.

You won't see many people at all saying anything but great stuff about Mark at AHONA. I just missed him Monday at the Fryeburg Fair. I imagine he's hard to get ahold of THIS week... but next week would be good.

I am currently self installing a Tarm solo Innova 30 in Georgetown. The boiler was purchased and shipped from Tarm Biomass in NH with no problems. This is my first post ever on this forum but I have been here a long while, educating myself over the past few months about self installing a wood boiler. The guys here are an invaluable resource of information. Read up and you can self install too. I will post a summary of my project when it is completed and finished. I was in your place this summer tossing around the idea of a wood boiler and now I am installing one. Do a heat loss calculation to see what size you need, see if you can accommodate the space for a thermal storage tank. If you read up this winter and learn how to pipe and install an indoor wood boiler, you can take your time with it this spring and summer and put it in yourself.

I'm up in Kent Bryan, not too far north of you - I put a Garn in a year ago, no regrets - If you want to take a drive & check it out, let me know - I also know a plumber that might be of help -
