My 2009 55-trp22 is starting to get noisy so I'm thinking of replacing the blowers! Everyone always brags how quiet there Harman or Boca is so what motors do they use? I know most stoves use basically the same motor. I can order the original ones for the stove but if there is a better alternative I would rather do that!

Quad claims their MVAE is the quietest stove on the market. I own one and it's fine, but not dramatically better than other high end stoves, to my mind. Personally, my next stove will likely be a Harman for many reasons, if I can find a used one (and if I ever need another).

I would think you'd only get it so quiet with the actual motor, the real
sound would be the air flow which would be a design issue.
I'm not up on how the different brands do it but the Harman has grating
on the front where the air comes out, so you can hear the air flowing
against it.

IMHO If you are going to be moving any appreciable amount of air you are going to make some noise.

Our harman p43 is comparable to a window air conditioner in noise IMO. On maintenance burn it's about like an a/c on low/compressor off, when the the thermostat calls for heat the fans ramp up, more noise just like when the a/c kicks in on a hot day.
The first week we had the p43 I noticed the fan noise all the time, after that it just kinda blended in to the background like white noise. Got so used to it I'd wake up sometimes in the middle of the night thinking it was off then I'd hear it and fall back asleep.

The quietest motors are used in the Euro stoves...Rika-Austroflamm, Ecoteck-Ravelli, Piazetta. MZC.....they use EBM-Pabst motors....made in Germany...expensive and quiet.....

Looks nice, but what is the cost, and do they show, Our Model XX is a direct replacement for England's/Harman/whatever part number?

They look very nice, but it looked like they were all either 230 volt or 12/24v models, so even if you had the sizing right (which I think you could), it would be challenging to adapt that to a 120v setup in your Englander. The Mt Vernons run a 12v setup I believe, so it may be adaptable there.
I would love an option for quieter motors as well, even at a higher price tag.

One other thing to note, is that I don't think the noise level is difference is all in the motors...I think part of it is due to the very open back design in most Englanders vs much more solid back designs in many other stove. My thinking is that it allows much more of the noise to escape in the first place.
the USA versions of these EuroStoves use the 110VAC 60Hz models of these EBM-Pabst motors. The EBM part number is R2E150-AN89-11

I think my Ravelli do have such a motor, from the look of it! The combustion fan is very quiet by itself.

Part of the MVAE's secret to quite motors, is that they use low voltage brushless DC motors. Those motors don't have the characteristic AC hum of line voltage motors. The rest of it is in the air path design. Moving air, especially high velocity air makes white noise. Gentle bends and softly contoured surfaces in the air flow path make less noise than sharp bends and abrupt discontinuities.
Very often when blowers get noisy, it is caused by radial play in the motor's bearing plates. Check the motors to see if there is play in the bearing plates (end plates of the motor). Those plates loosen over time and can be retightened with a nailset and a hammer. The plates are usually held in place by three or four dimples in the cylindrical motor housing. Deepen the dimples to lock the plates back in place.
