Hey everyone! Looking forward to the wood burnin season! Been around many campfires and bonfires, but new to heatin the house with it. Fortunately I have a back up....just in case.

Welcome. I have to warn you since no one did yet. This site is a big addiction, almost as much as wood burning. You will be spending a lot of time here reading all the wood porn and checking pictures. Once you will find yourself checking wood piles in other people yards or even worse when you will get upset seeing someone with a nice load of wood then it's a sign you got possessed. Then it's too late. Just kidding. It's a great site full of people who know almost every aspect of wood burning. They will walk you through and help you with any problem that may arise.
I'm burning wood, I know technically it's a coal stove but my wood is a lot cheaper. The couple that originally put it in only burnt wood also. Very effective heater for sure.
Oh yeah, I live in a 2500 sq ft cap cod.....keeps the house about 75°. Also have a hot blast wood furnace in my barn.
