Anyone have a Hustler?

And if you have a semi-pro/commercial mower...tell me about it.

I have a Hustler Fastrak 48". I think they classify it as a high end residential. It shares some components with what you will see in a lower end commercial like the deck and transmissions. The engine does not have the commercial air filtration .

Overall I like it a lot. It cuts great and gets the job done pretty quick.

I have a Dixie Chopper Magnum 2250 which is marketed as a pro-sumer model. I only have 2 seasons on it, but so far I'm very happy with it. The only downside is it bounces me around when the moles get bad in the yard, but I assume any ZTR would. Before this I had a Kubota F2000 front deck with a 60" which was a tank, it'd roll over anything and I'd never feel it! But the 50" Dixie cut my mowing time from 60 minutes down to 45 for my 1.5 acre yard.

I was comparing the Dixie to a Exmark (I think it was a Pioneer) in the same price range, they were almost equal spec wise but Dixie Chopper used a better hydraulic pump, while Exmark used a smaller one which made my decision.

Sadly, I can't really get a price range on Dixie Choppers without having to go to really the only dealer around here. That dealer, is absolutely horrid to talk to. My wife gave them my phone number. They call at least 3 times a week.

I was checking out the XOne-i from Hustler but can't really find good comparisons.

Have you checked out lawnsite.com?

They have a ton of information. They seem to be very pro scag on there.

The x-one is much more mower than the Fastrak.

Unless you like to spend money or tend to run into things, I think Scags are a little overpriced. I worked for a summer for a landscaping company who ran nothing but Scag and they are built like tanks, but I don't see the need for heavier construction for most applications, especially if this is for your personal use. You can find the same motors and hydros they use on other brands for less money, and those are the critical parts IMO.

I have a Bad Boy 60" cut, 27 hp. I cut 2.5 acres of grass a week. $4999.00, and that is to much for cutting grass. Is it a commercial mower? No, but I am cutting my own yard and it does great job.
