I got 2 ton of Heat'rs at HD in Matamoras pa this morning for $239.00/ton.
Middletown HD had green Supreme, and I saw a few pallets of Heat'rs out back.
Otisville hardware has some Lignetics, and Greenways. The Greenway's were $270.00, didn't check the Lignetics price per ton.

The heat'rs burn really nice in my P43

Any idea who makes the Heat'r pellet? Any luck deciphering the UPC code?

There rumored to be a softie. I only burn softies. Thanks I will give em a burn!

Box store cupboards are bare down in southern westchester. At least that's what the web sites say. HD changed their webpage and it no longer says whether a pellet supply is present or not. It just says to call the store.

And prices are up. They say they have fireside ultra for 269 a ton. I would load up if they would deliver!

Just checked our local store online. Same thing, no inventory.
I picked up two ton yesterday.
I called to see if they had them, and ran over to pick them up.

Sometimes smaller suppliers escape the attention of hoarders and their normal supply hasn't been picked off yet. I have been pleasantly surprised at some of the stock at small hardware chains in terms of price and variety. Check larger Ace hardware stores in your area if you have them there. Other places would be lumber yards, grain suppliers.

Great point Peter. I've seen lots of smaller stores keeping a ton or 2 in their parking lot for people to pick up a few bags. Great for these shoulder seasons.

Tractor Supply Patterson , NY had 23 tons of Sommersets today. They were 5.39 per bag. I think by the ton they were 259. Last year with the coupon at Lowes I paid 206 a ton. What a difference a year makes.

I am in Ticonderoga, NY. Our TS here is rotating the pellets between about 4 different ones. The green golds are pretty good. I would stay away from the white and blue bag American Fiber or whatever it is as they are really high ash and saw dust. Depending on how far north you are willing to travel there is a local company up here that makes them and there are really good, and will probably use them through the winter. If not the other local hardware store here is 320 for cubex. Just my opinions though

To late this year. Need to try when there is not so much demand. July 2015 is a good time to do this. Will start a thread in end of May to see who would like too buy some.

Yeah I was talking about next year. I'm more than set for this year

22 - 24 per truck load. took me less then 3 hours to find enough people to buy a load!

I will join a group purchase next Summer if you get this together. I'm good for 4 tons

Just got back from HD in Middletown, grabbed 10 bags of green Supremes , 4.99@ bag, 239.00 @Ton Back lot had 30 or more pallets

Well I'm in the Southern Tier of NY. I work for the blue box, and latest info I received today when I asked our buyer (which is one guy for all stores that sell pellets) is that the pellet situation right now is real bad and it's not going to get any better. I was told mills are maxed and their are not enough to go around. I'm looking at 2 weeks or more to get re-supplied if I run out. Get them if you can people!

If you live in the Hudson Valley, I'd check Agway. They sold Hamer Hot Ones last year, which burned fantastic in our pellet insert. Low ash, good heat. Only thing better for the low ash/ high heat combo I've found is Barefoot.

Not great news...but expected. You have to order early, and over-order to be sure you won't run out before the season ends.

Home depot in Newburgh and Kingston have bags of Heat'rs for $4.98. I bought 10 bags at each because I have a problem. They smell like 2x4s.
