Just got quoted the above from a local dealer. They also quoted $40 delivery for the first ton, $20 for each ton thereafter, offloaded and stacked on my deck.

What say you? Good price on the pellets or do I shop more?

Buy Energex (labeled as "Stove Chow") at Home Depot for $239 a ton, minus $24 a ton (use 10% coupon), plus $65 delivery (one delivery charge for any amount). This is Energex/Premier from the PA plant.

Lignetics were the worst pellets I burned last year..... Fortunately the hardware store I got them from allowed me to return my un burned bags.....

Which Lignetics are they? There are different kinds as I found out. I got the kind that are white bag with Red and Yellow lettering. They were $259/ton delivered right into my barn from my local, family owned supplier. I have run 6 bags through over the past couple of weeks and they are fantastic. Lots of heat, low ash content.

Maybe your area is flush with product, but here...
People would bust the door down for anything...

Lignetics are $300 ton in Central Mass. right now at Rocky's Ace Hardware, and they DON'T deliver!! They are the green, yellow, and red bag.

Got them for 230/ton in July. Used them last year. Best I've used in years. This year's batch lighter in color and doesn't seem quite as good but still throws good heat and not much ash.

Today, $350 a ton at local tru value hardware. $7.17 a bag. Orange lettering white bag, bought 1 bag to try.

Bought a ton in Maryland for $275 picked up.

I am new so I have no idea if they are burning good or not but they keep my stove lit!

we are paying 209/ton for the green letter liggies at our local agway in western pa. currently.....they seem to burn the best in our stove......

What's the difference between the greens and the reds??

I think the red bags are west coast and the green bags are east coast. Different wood blends. Could be wrong though, ive never seen the red bags here on the east coast.
