Anyone having a problem with South Shore Wood Pellets??

I have ordered from them for the past 4 years. This year being the 4th. I called beginning of Sept. and placed my order for my pellets. I paid for them and have already been charged on my Credit Card. They said they would be delivered before Oct 1st. Oct 5th I hadn't heard from them so called them. I called the 5th, 6th and 7th and finally on the 8th they called me back. They said the pellets I ordered were a little behind and we would be getting our pellets the following week. Well, here we are on the 24th and still NO PELLETS and no call!!! I have called again 3 times and they NEVER call back!! I called them and leave a message and nothing. I just need to know if I am getting my pellets or do I need to get them from somewhere else?? NOT HAPPY!! Anyone else haveing issues??

funny you should ask this. i have always just bought my pellets from lowes/homedepot. although i had heard of the benefits of running a premium pellet.so this year i was going to try some good pellets. so in august i orded 2 pallets of la crete pellets from sswp.was told a 4 week wait. ok,6 weeks goes by no pellets. now its the end of sept. they give me a delivery day. with a delivery window of 3:30-5:00. no show. i call them they tell my by 7:00 he is running late. ok i say. i deliver beer for a living. i under stand things happen on the road.7:00 comes and goes. still no pellets.so i go out. they show up @9:00 pm and try to make a delivery! beat it i tell him.the next day no call from sswp. so i call them. they will deliver next monday, ok. monday comes no call or anything so i call and call no answer. so i just go over there. and they dont have the pellets. and tell me the truck didnt come in. they will be in tomorrow. i think to myself what happened to the 2 pallets from last week.? so i just ask for a refund. which they did provide without any problem. called a farm supply co out of bridgewater and they delivered 2 pallets of geneva pellets. i didnt even have to go down there. they took the payment over the phone. and delivered within 1 1/2 hours stacked in my driveway. well in the end. not the quality pellet i wanted. but at least i have them.. good luck.

Your biggest mistake was waiting until September to go pellet shopping.
 
I understand that but had no choice in that matter. If they didn't have the in stock then they should not have charged my card for them! They should also let you know what is going on. Don't tell me i will have them by Oct 1st and then not even contact you to let you know that they are having issues! The customer service has gone so downhill. I have alway's used them with the exception of 1 year when I went with Pellets Direct. I will not order from them again.

Go with pellets r us in berkley. Great company awesome people to deal with. Never mind good pellets for a good price.
 
Yup they kind of surprised me also. To bad because they were really good for the last couple of years.

I had to go elsewhere
 
I haven't been on this site in awhile, but came here specifically to look for a thread like this. I thought I might be the only one. I too ordered 4 tons pellets from SSWP at the beginning of Sept. Was told 3-4 weeks. It's now been 8. Three weeks ago someone on the phone told me 'oh yes those are in, you'll probably get them next week'. A week later someone else tells me they are waiting on a shipment. Last week the guy says 'I'll be talking to the dealer today, call me Monday' Call, no answer. Call again, answering machine again tells me they are open 9-5. I leave a message asking them to call me back. No call.

I worked in eCommerce for a lot of years.
It is against both Visa and MasterCard merchant terms of service to charge a credit card before an item is in a box and marked as 'packed/out for delivery'.

If your pallets were not on a rig slated to go to your house, and you were charged, you have a case against them if you so wish to pursue.

Call the bank issuer of your card.
