I would like to start a pellet review post with pictures. Everyone has their favorite pellet and favorite stove. Let's compare how different pellets burn in different stoves with picture evidence! The thing that gets talked about mostly is how dirty and how much ash a certain pellet is in a certain stove. My challenge to you is to burn the pellet you love the most, or hate the most, for 24 hours in a clean stove, and take a picture of the burn pot! With your picture state the pellet it is, the stove it is, what setting it was burned on, and what you thought about the heat output and flame of the pellets!

I' ll play- Lopi Leyden, the pellets are what I have on hand, not my favorite nor least favorite but a decent softwood for $269 a ton! This was first bag of the year after thorough cleaning.

So I will start off with these, Canadian biofuel wood pellet in my Englander. Burned on low for 22 hrs and the stove ran out. Heat and flame were great, but ash, holy cow!

Setting 2 of 5, Leyden struggles to stay lit on heat level 1.

This is a pellet called Satasfaction made by LG Granules. Heat is very good and after 36hrs (bag and a half) on number 1 on the Englander, about half the ash of the Canadian Biofuel.
