Hi, I am a newbie going into my 2nd burn season with my stove and have a question about touch-up paint.

Based on my photos, do I need to do apply touch-up paint to my stove?

It looks like my door handle needs some paint but what about the rest of the door and the top of the stove?

See the rust on the door handle.

The top of the door has some silverish/whiteish tiny spotting.

My handle has some rust on it too after 4 years. If you can't stand the sight of it go ahead and touch it up. Just make sure you use Stove Brite Metallic Black so it will match

I don't mind the look of the worn paint. I am worried that if I don't fix it that it could lead to bigger problems. Sounds like you don't think I need to worry about it, right?

Since the handle looks like its peeling to me and rusting, it wouldn't hurt to touch it up. Since your door is black its would be very easy. Mine is pewter and I would have to remove my handle to touch it up and I'm just to lazy<>

Any thoughts about the silver/white spotting on the top of the door?

The door shell is aluminum so it gets little white spots instead of rust. It looks pretty normal after a few years of burning. I usually touch up the paint on stoves after I clean the flue each year. I'd say go for it!
