I would try some other pellets just to be sure. It could be that you have a draft issue.
I have been running box store pellets with no issues. With the mag in it, there can't be a draft issue. Supposedly it sets the draft perfectly.
 
Not to hijack the thread but I just yanked the stove out and adjusted the feed trim plate. These pellets are big, so I wonder if they weren't feeding correctly?

I will report results. hopefully this works bc it was a pita.

How big?

Here's is a sample from my current bag. Typical of all the bags burned so far.

Long not so much, but they are thicker. I got the stove running very happily after I lifted the auger trim an inch.

As you can see by my signature, we've gone to The Dark Side. We are now burning cord wood in addition to pellets. Ever on the learning curve.
