PLEASE HELP IDENTIFY THIS UNUSUAL WOODSTOVE??

Mystery Modern-looking Stove - Make ? Model?

Dear Members,

Can you please help me identify this unusual modern looking wood stove (see photos). Make? Model? I've looked and there are no marking in the usual places (sides, back, under trim) and "woodheatstoves" was not able to ID it. I should mention that it was likely installed in the early 1980s. Is it from a known manufacture or custom?

Any tale-tale signs. All the pieces seem very professionally done, including sheet metal trim, etc.

I've looked but don't see any Malm's like it. The shape also seems different as Malms seem more conical .... but maybe the older ones are different?

It's a briarwood, made in the 70's massive heater pretty sure it was UL listed at the time

Thank you - You sound confident, which I like. It is a pretty massive heater and could be well made in the 1970s. I've searched for it w/Briarwood, but can't see any similar images. Can you tell me more why you think it's a brairwood? Many thanx.

It functions well. Thx. (But it's also my first wood stove, so I'm a newbie).

Tell tale sign would be a metal label attached to the back listing all the manufactor info and clearances and UL and testing lab, pretty sure you won't even find the 4 holes for the rivets.

Thanx, but no luck as no back plate. The back has an extra layer of sheet metal to presumably dampen the back radiation.

I might add that it does look commercial as there are slide on leg covers, etc.

Anyone remember the thread?? Given that he's seen it before it would suggest that it is commercial.... But from WHO??? .... The mystery continues. No burning proof yet.
