It seem that the previous owner of my Enviro Windor gued a gasket on the door and the glass. I ordered the new correct door gasket that arrived and one side of the gasket has tape on it. I assume the gasket is folded over the side s of the glass? I am just wondering what holds the door into the frame? Do I need some sort of glue to glue the new gasket to the frame. I received all of the parts for this rebuild and am hoping to get the stove up and running this week. Any help would be appreciated

I have a Windsor as well, and just replaced the door/glass gasket a few years back. The gasket install is a strange one indeed, you are correct that it does fold around the glass - If I remember correctly, I used some red Hi-Temp RTV on the gasket as well to hold it into the frame. If your existing glass/door is still intact, when you remove the old gasket, you can see what i'm talking about and you should notice the old glue on the gasket - I would just copy that install.

Also, just in case...this particular stove only has the gasket on the sides and bottom of the door - nothing on top because that is the airwash.

Yeah I don't have faith that the previous owner replaced the gasket correctly. So I will install as u suggested and thank you for the reply
