I just fired up a newly installed P68, is it normal to have smoke coming out from the blower for a few minutes? it was very smoky for about 3 minutes and the flame was very high. The flame has not reduced to about 6-8" high and the smoke has reduced, but it is still smoking somewhat. Thanks

Burning off manufacturing paint etc. Get the windows open and should subside soon. can take a few firings.
Where is the pictures of the new stove?

This is a new P68 not a "new to you" used stove? If brand new, the installer should have warned you about burn-in. Usually better if done outside but like Bio said, open those windows. May get the smell as you ramp up the heat settings...

This is a new stove, but we installed it ourselves. I know about the burn in, but I thought the smoke would subside once the flame began, I guess I didn't realize that there would be so much. Thanks for the info.

The burn in our dealer recommended:
Run stove till you have a good flame then shut it down. Do 4-5 times.
Cannot remember how bad the smell was.
Enjoy the stove!

Perfectly normal as Bio and others have said , the worst of it lasting maybe 20 minutes or so and traces of the odor probably the next time you start the stove.

In a Harman the flame will ramp itself up and down as heat is needed per order of the control board and your settings as well. However in the instructions I think if your read them you will see a section on first firing the stove up ( not that it matters now). Ya, when I fired up our P61 I had smoke alarms blasting in the house. Even with the windows open it stunk pretty bad but cleared out quickly. Also be careful opening the doors after the burn in, the gaskets can stick to the newly cured paint. We burned it in before supper time on a Sat. Shut it down , then re-lit it for overnight heat on a fairly low setting.

My P68 did the same thing. Theres a burn in time. Our dealer told us to fire it up on a warm day so we could open some windows and air the place out so that's what we did. It's normal for first burn, maybe even second. All that fresh paint on the stove or piping or even the high temp silicone used in places has to "set"

Good luck, happy burning. You're gonna love it. The thing is a heating beast.
