I'm considering Cleanfire pacific blend and was wondering if anyone has any experience with burning these pellets. A local supplier has them at $295/ton. Is that a good price for this brand?

I'm burning them now, but I'm only on bag #3 & haven't had the P61A on in over a week. Heat is good, flyash is low & since I've only scraped the burnpot twice, it's too early to tell how big of a "speedbump" they'll form. $295 is about average price for this brand. I paid $299 with free delivery...

Woodpellets.com is selling them for $325 a ton. I have a ton of them being delivered this morning from probably the same place you are referring to ( $294/ton)
Never burned them before though.

Burned them all last year. Did pay a hefty price at Woodpellets.com (see above) so your price is good if it includes delivery. I LOVE these and think they are worth every penny. I burned 30% less pellets than the year before for the same duration. VERY efficient. Less stove cleaning because of the minimal ash. 1 bag = <1 cup ash. Clinkers I had were tough, but few.

Feeling the Heat
Last year I burned 1.5 tons of Cleanfire pacific softwood and 1 ton of Cleanfire Hardwood. The Cleanfire Pacific softwood is the best pellet I have burned since buying my pellet stove in 2008. Extremely low low ash with excellent heat output. This year I purchased 1.5 tons of Cleanfire Pacific softwood and 1.5 tons of LGs both from woodpellets.com. I got in a special deal that averaged out to $298 per ton delivered in front of my garage. Cleanfire Pacific softwood is better than the LGs but the LGs are an excellent high end pellet which also has low ash.
Thanks to all that replied. I went with the Cleanfire Pacific Blend and glad that I did. I've been burning them for a few days now and the difference is clear. The flame consistency is so much better than the Green Supremes from Lowes last year. Ash amount is a little less and the glass seems to stay cleaner longer.

Feeling the Heat
For me last year, the Green Supremes (GS) versus Cleanfire Pacific (CP) was a big difference in amount of ash. Two weeks of GS filled my ash pan during coldest months. With CP it was somewhere between 3 and 4 weeks during coldest months before I had to clean my ash pan. With my Harman Advanced cleaning takes longer than any other Harman so its a big deal when I have to clean the stove more often.
