So here there is a shortage..for the past 10 days I'm trying to score on more ton.looking for stove chow not the green supreme or inferno,or natures best.so today after picking up 2 more windows for my home.i asked the cashier what's the scoop.ive been calling and you(west Hartford )Berlin trn pike ,southington ,Glastonbury are always out of pellets. So she ran the sku number and sure enough all showed zero pellets and zero pellets on order.the reason I was getting from the guy in garden was always the same.are supplier is not reliable and shipping.so why when the cashier had it on her computer it showed 0 being on order.Seems fishy to me.lowes on the turnpike had been reliable but the green team I payed some $$$.last year the Home Depots were fine.so far not to reliable.

Did you even bother with BTpellets? If your looking to pick up, they have two locations. They could also deliver for a fee. Product is running shorter though and their selection changes, plus they don't carry the brands you mention but beggars can't be choosers.

BT isn't accepting new customers, or former customers for that matter. Used them in 2012-13 for my pellets. Went to Stove Chow for 2013-14 from HD. Wanted to go back to BT and they denied my order.

Not sure where you live in CT but the montville ND had about 5 or 6 tons of stove chow left as of wednesday.

I tried BT last week looking for a couple more tons and they said they werent accepting new customers.

There's a place in Plainfield called the pellet pro which has lignetics, MWP, and corinth. Was going to take a ride up there tomorrow and pick up a few bags of each to try out

So...basically their closed? Not what they said on the website.
I don't know what they are, but as far as I was concerned I was an existing customer. It's all good. HD at the time had 65 tons. Ordered on a Wednesday and it was delivered on Saturday.

I don't know why the pellet dealers are having issues getting them. Most of the box stores have them and many get from the same mills the dealers do.

I'm not getting why the dealers are having such an issue. Could this be a conspiracy? Sure did jack up the prices in my neck of the woods!!

at least BT replied to you.... lol It would be nice if they updated their website to say they were out of stock instead of saying, yeah, email us, and we'll reply in 24 hours... going on 148 hours now... lol

I had to call them to get a response

So a funny thing happened yesterday. I had called BT pellets about a month ago looking for pellets and they were all out and told me to try again in a few weeks. Yesterday they called telling me that they had lacretes available. Not sure if the demand is slowing or what. Just thought it was odd

I like to think that most pellet burners have already secured their entire winter's stash. I suspect that pellets will become easier to find as fewer and fewer people need to buy any.

Same theory here Tim, in fact I think I stated something similar back in early OCT. As Nov. moves on I bet we see supplies filling out. I know around here it's not an issue. HD has two full rows of AWF and loose bags too. I was there yesterday, unlike past weeks when they had pellets in , this time I did not see pickup trucks ad trailers lined up to get them. TSC has now changed over to their non TSC branded pellets, so that means many many tons of the TSC's they had on location are at peoples houses now. The cement dealer here where I get LG and Energex from has had pellets right on through this. Prices are up a bit though. Those AWF at HD are $269 a ton. Energex and LG $299.

HG Page has signs in front of their stores reading "Wood Pellets here". First time this season. Gasoline is at $3.00 a gallon, and oil still on the decline price wise. Cyclical.

I was at two HDs this week. Both had pellets by the bag. Plantsville had them by the ton, but the garden center wasn't sure if there was a waiting list. They had two skids of bags in the garden center. Friday, Wallingford had them by the ton and a skid by the bag in the store.

It seems that places are getting caught up. Granted, I have a very small sample size. But at least you can see they actually have pellets. It's no longer a "nothing now, we should get them soon" scenario.

HD removed there "Maine Woods Pellet's" listing on there website few weeks ago, I used it for year's to see who had what in stock, now doing a Wood Pellet search comes up with no data just call your store, Drove by Glastonbury HD other day not a pellet to be found!

Tractor Supply in North Windham looks like they just got a new shipment in; there is a healthy stack of pellets outside. G.M. Thompson, 54 Middle Tpke Mansfield Depot, CT 06251 Phone: 860-429-9377 has been advertising pellets in the local paper. Don't know the brands, usually they carry middle of the road pellets. They are not open Sundays.

TSC not open on Sunday???...Enfield near me is, they show pellets along with Vernon and Southwick ma, but they usually carry garbage pellets, they were pushing GS in Sept.
