My daughter just picked up a used P61 to replace her Big-E. While I have a P68 I'd like to know if the feed setting are pretty much the same for the P61 & P68 (and YES I did try search but way to many to go through). And any other info would be a help.

Correct about feed rate..
Same Stoves......difference is 7,000 BTU's..
P68 might have larger pellet hopper and ash pan but don't hold me to that..
just don't go below feed rate #3.

Copied this from Harman site:

P61 versus P68

The P68 is a minor increase from the P61. The dimensions of the stove are nearly identical, with the P68 being 2" taller, and holding 4 more pounds of pellets. The burn pot is a bit larger as well. If you are trying to heat a large space this is your stove. This stove will put out more than many wood stoves, and was the highest output free standing pellet stove on the market.

Thanks for the info. I figured the settings would be close to my P68. So far the P61 is MUCH better than her old Big-E!

Uh Ooh! I have a P68 and am new but they are very similar stoves. Not real sure about the differences or specs but with you having the 68 you have already done most of the leg work for her. Everyone I see with 61's and 68's generally run about the same settings. I pay close attention to all 61 and 68 input here.

Cleaning either stove is Identical also....
feed rates run from 3-4..
Never read where anyone ever used above 4...Harman only burns what it needs regardless...
I have been on feed rate 3 since I threw a bag in 9pm last nite..
18 hrs ago [or 19 depending on time change..] couple hrs to go till filling again.

You would have to test it in her install situation but most of us P61 owners run someplace right around feed rate 4. I've gone up to 4.5 in Jan with - deg numbers outside. Running below feed rate 4 saves nothing because the board automatically lowers the feed as needed anyway.
