Anyone get any of these this winter?
haven't heard a peep about them, Barefoot, or Hamers
which all we;re the "must haves" last year..

I have 2 tons of barefoot and 1 ton of Hamers to burn (along with a ton of cubex). Haven't gotten to any of those yet. Holding off on those until the cold weather starts. Been burning TSC hardwoods and stove chow so far.

I liked the turman's and barefoots last season. Wasn't able to get turman's this year. They were sold out when I ordered.

I wanted to get Turmans, but the pre-order place was sold out before I got my order in. Ended up with 3 ton of Hamer....haven't picked them up yet (place will store them for I think it was $13 extra a ton)

I have a ton of Turman standing by for February and will burn up to 4 ton of Somerset during all other times. I found that Turman during the coldest days of winter with a weekly vacuum and cleaning of my stove were the hottest producer last winter for my setup and home. I would've bought a couple more ton, but the lack of delivery from local suppliers of Turman to my area, along with the surprise shipment of Somersets into the Ocean State about 4 miles from my home was a pretty motivating factor.

Rhody I'm in RI where did you pick up your pellets from I just started setting up my first pellet stove and looking for good pellets

Turman is my only pellet. I started burning last week at a rate of about 1.5 bags/day. So far, so good. As in prior years, good heat and low ash.

bas157: Where'd you get the TUrman's? I live in Philadelphia and haven't been able to find them around here.
I;m close by and have never seen them here in Bucks county..or Barefoots, or Hamers..
btw: your location has a typo..[philsdelphia]

Up in Bernville at Kegerris, might be spelled wrong by goggle will find them......about 40 minutes from me so probably 90 minutes from Philly. Didn't look like they had many left so unless they got another truck or two, I'm sure they are sold out by now. They burn super clean again, just like last year. The do leave a hard black coating on the bottom of the burn pot, but it chips away pretty easily when doing my cleaning. They also carry Hamer, AWF, Energex and something else, maybe O'Malley.

"philsdelphia" was a bad joke. Phillies fan :)

I got Hamers at Fehl's, outside of Reading. Several places nearer to home had them last year, but not sure abt this year. The Okies I had to track down in Northern NJ. Worth the trip for me.

I got Barefoot's at Ray's Greenhouse in Telford last year, along with Country Boy White Lightning (which were very good - real hot, though a bit ashy). Barefoots didn;t burn hot in my stove for some reason.

Got 5 tons on pre buy for $229 a ton in the spring. Got them delivered for free! Use them exclusively now, after using Turmans and Lignetics. Lignetics were horrible! My dealer now only stocks Turmans, had too many complaints about Lignetics. I drive by every day and they have tons available.

LT Rush Stone in Waynesboro, PA. Not sure of price now, but in spring it was $229 a ton. Probably $239-249 a ton now. Love these pellets!
