New BK Ashford Questions

1. I have a 13' chimney; it's 5' of single wall with 2 45s in the house then 4' double wall in the attic and 4' double wall out the top of my house. I have a 70s rancher so it's inside the tallest part of my house and supplied with plenty of air (leaky house). Does anyone feel that I'll be able to make this work? Yes, I know that full double wall is BKs recommendation...
   
2. My dad and I are hauling it in the house ourselves. Not a far walk from the back of the truck into the front door but any weight guesses on the weight WITHOUT the iron front, top and side panels? I know the top lifts right off but what about the sides? I downloaded the manual and checked it out but was looking for personal comments on the matter.
3. I have to paint it when it gets here. With the iron jackets removed they can be easily painted but would I need to then paint the core steel stove as well or would it be masked enough by the iron jackets? Buying a stove that you've never seen really sucks
4. How deep is the firebox? I've heard some of you say it's not as deep as other BKs but are there any measurements? How often do you have coals roll out? I don't normally keep a heavy ash bed with my VC because it was so easy to empty it without the stove going out. I'm aware it won't be the same with the BK.

I don't "lift" stoves unless I have to. Ramps, dollies, tipping the stove to shim it up yes but dead lifting is risky.

The picture is how we lifted the NC30 onto the 18" tall hearth in my shop.

My BK stayed bolted to the pallet when I slid it out of the truck bed down my motorycle ramps. It was then put on a dolly and rolled to the hearth. Slid over onto the hearth, never lifted.

I too have a 60s ranch style house, 5' vertical double wall in the house, then 8' of class A from ceiling to the cap. Works great but I'm all vertical and have double wall.

I've got a ton of ash in my stove and for the most part it stays put. Can't answer your other questions. Mine is enamel and I don't know much about installation. I will say it took a couple of really burly guys to life my stove a few feet from the dolly onto the hearth pad. It wasn't easy for them. I've got it on video and can send it your way if you want to see what you're up against. If you're coming all the way in from the curb, you're going to want a dolly for sure.
