My family got a quadcopter for filming, we all help with my family's photography business on the side. We got this as a toy/potential income earning in the future. I have a video of my first flight. You can see a few of my wood piles around the house, and my supply of trees in the back. It is really fun to fly around and get some video with.

Nice! im jealous, What are you using for a camera? I just got my first gopro (hero 4 silver) want to eventually got a quad copter as well. love the footage they make

here is my first gopro video of the dog

Your place looks nice, watching the dog go into the water was awesome. The camera is DJI's proprietary camera, it comes with the matching gimbal. They have a gimbal that works with the gopro if you buy the copter without the camera already attached.

Ah that camera works pretty good. I didnt realize they came with cameras, that helps with the cost! i need one of those! And thank you for the compliments!

Does the camera transmit real-time or do you have to download it post-flight?

Phantom 2 Vision+ ??? Nice vid....

That thing can take some decent pics and video...especially for the price!

But now everyone is lusting over the new 3K model. If I needed it, I'd buy it....but I am just a hobbyist and reviewer, so I like doing more with less.

Here is a still I took with a cheap rig - in fact, a GoPro Hero2 (long ago discontinued). Click to enlarge.

If any of you others want to see my review on the quadcopter M@d used, here is the link:

These things are really opening up new markets in creativity...and also in search and rescue, mapping, agriculture, etc.

You can see what it is filming on you phone or tablet.....but, the files are very large so you get the full size ones off your microSD when it lands.
