Any one use and like Green Supremes? HD in Monroe N.Y. just received a shipment, along with Heat Exchangers, I don't know that much about either. I am burning Pennington's right now and I am saving my Green Team Platinums for the real cold season.

If you're burning Penningtons, you'll love Green Supremes. A number of posts rate Penningtons one of the worst pellets tried where Green Supreme seems to have its followers, although not everyone likes them.

I use the Greene Team Platinum as my main pellets. I have ton and 1/2 stored for the cold wintery weather. I was in Walmart 2 weekends ago and I happened upon the Penningtons, and decided to pick up 15 bags to use for now. They are not too bad, though they do take at least 2hours before I feel the heat upstairs. Once they do get going the heat is not bad. The GTs heat my whole house within the first 30 minutes. Unfortunately Lowes does not know when they will be getting anymore in. I brought them back in Aug. and paid 227/ton.

I'm due West of you in Milford PA. Got 2 ton of the Green Supreme just yesterday. I like them more than last year's Stove Chow - less ash, less creosote. Interestingly they seem to burn hotter than the New England Wood Pellets, though the GS are made by NEWP. Go figure.

GS Suck!!, high ash low heat....give me a break, never heard of heat exchanger's but i'd buy those first, esp GS made in Deposit NY..horrible.
Chow's on the other hand kickass!!

Yes they are good. I only picked up a few bags and they are working well. Within 3 hours they had my upstairs well heated, and the kids complained that it was too hot in the bedrooms. I was running my stove on high, and had to adjust it down to medium/high. Once we all came downstairs I adjusted my stove to medium/low because it was too warm downstairs. When I burn the Greene Team Plats, I always keep my stove at medium high because they give off good heat from the beginning. Lowes in Chester was expecting a shipment last night, but they did not know who was coming. I have yet to find any more green team plats. Glad I picked up my ton and a half back in Aug. from Lowes in Chester. Saving those for January/feb weather. Right now I have some Penningtons, and Green Supremes. Whenever I am out and about I pick up whatever I can to hold me over until the bone chilling weather. Then I will use my GTP.

Heh... I used to live not far from the Chester Lowes, off of Bellvale Rd.

I haven't checked in the last couple weeks, but I think the Lowes here in Matamoras has GS Platinums, though they consider them to be a 'premium' pellet, and charge accordingly. I can look into it for you, if that would be of any help. Just let me know...

picked up 10 bags of GS from my local HD last weekend (Middletown NY), three bags in I'm pretty sure I won't be buying anymore unless it is all I can get, unlike the Timber Heats and NEWPS (yeah, I know the GS are made by NEWP) the GS have completely occluded the glass in my stove after only 2 bags, the TH and NEWPS never did that even on low settings, worst case 2 or 3 bags in there is one spot that gets a brown deposit that is about 4x2 inches, The GS have fogged up the glass entirely with the exception of about a 1 inch band just above the air wash after 2.5 bags, I have been cleaning and vacuuming out the pot, walls firebox on a regular 3 or 4 times a week basis, so it must be the pellets and not the stove. The heat from the GS is adequate fwiw, not more ash but a different quality ash.. much darker, clumps, and many more glowing pellets deposited into the ash pan as compared to gray light weight ash with the other pellets, the Nations Choice I had 2 bags of burned about the same as the GS with less heat.

Edit...

Ok so I burned a bag of the GS after a cleaning yesterday, the issue did not repeat leading me to believe I did something wrong and I'm guessing it was the door to the ash tray was not closed properly or the air wash had become clogged somehow, as of this AM, the glass was still mainly clean and while the ash is still darker than I am used to, the prodigous amounts were not seen today
