smoke smell

Hello all,

The other day my wife loaded up my zc but did not allow the load to catch fire before closing down the air. After about 30 mins I noticed a smoke smell in the house and ran down to check the fireplace. The there was not fire but my glass was very dirty until I opened up the air control and got the fire going. I explained the stove again to the wife and let her know to let the fire get established before closing it down.

But now I am worried about the smoke smell. This is a ZC and has Class a all the way to the fireplace but it is enclosed. Should I be worried?

Could have an insufficient draft for the amount of smoke the wood was producing leading to back puffing into your house.

thats what I am hoping. I have been burning this unit since March and have not had the issue before.

Oh yeah, I like it hot lol, No I mean I burned it back in March and some of april.
