I wanted to bring attention to this reasonably priced stove. This is my second one (sold my last home in Idaho and relocated to Wyoming). You can find this stove for $1500 new. It takes good size logs, loads north/south like a stove should, produces all night burns, heats my 2200 sq ft home (only heat source). The stove has a no-frills look that I like. My only complaint would be that sometimes I do clean the glass by hand, the airwash could use some improving.

Anyways, just wanted to share my experience with this great stove. You can pay $1000 more for a bigger name stove, but you won't get any better performance.

I have the insert version and absolutely love it. Great stove. The look is exactly what I wanted.

I will add, my glass always stays clean.

I got hands on with one two weeks ago at my local stove shop. Really impressed with it from a build standpoint. Didn't get to burn in it but looks like a good stove. And they were selling it for around $1,200.

What type of wood are you burning? I'm thinking my reason for dirty glass is like right now I have a fire going with only 1 big split to maintain my coles for tonight when it gets bitter cold. I guess you need to get it real hot to clean the glass.

Right now basically a potpourri of cedar, locust and oak. Odd sizes, some big some small. It's all real dry.

I do try and run hot.....I try to bring it up to a minimum of 650* with each load before beginning to cut the air back.
