What is the average WIDTH Hardwood split size that you use for a regular burn cyle , & overnite burn aswell ? Please list if it's a insert, ,stove ? Also the cubic size of the firebox ?

If your asking Width and not Length ia all depends on what pieces will fit into the firebox efficiently without wasting any space. I have a 1 foot cubic firebox, so sometimes it's 3 pieces and other times it's 4 using what I have on hand to fill the firebox the most. This gives me anywhere from 6-8 hours burn time.

I use split pieces that are 4 or 5 inches wide.

the word you're looking for is 'thick'...to avoid confusion;) 4 to 5" here too for a 1.5cu firebox.
For an overnight, they get packed densely, with little space between.

For my Jotul F 600, which has a 3.0 cubic foot firebox, I generally load splits up to 7" thick and rounds up to 8" for a maximum. Typical load will range from 4" to 6" on most occasions.
