The search tool is your friend here--you'll find numerous threads and reviews on Green Supreme (mostly average to poor). Like all pellets, though, they work good for some and not so good for others...

I bought 2 tons of them after test running a bunch of stuff from local Hardware, HD , TSC and such. Overall they have been fine for me. Been running my Hampton GC60 on levle 3 with a little 4 during this cold snap and feels nice. A little dirty and ashy but overall they have been good. I can get them 10 minutes from my house so I did. Hoping to get my hands on some higher end pellets but it is not happening around here right now. been waiting for a local dealer to get some Lacretes but not looking good. Might have to bight the bullet and spring for some in the $329 - $249 per ton. Or then again just keep pluging with the GS at $269. My first year and got our stove late so I'll be ready next year.

These pellets work fine but are not as hot and are more ashy than some of the higher end pellets, but they do work.

"ashy"

Soda and keyboards don't mix.

I have 3 tons of the green supreme as they burned well for me last year and it is just about the only pellet my brother with burn in his stove.. This years batch has a lot of fines so far and more ash with less heat output than last year. I would say average at best this year

GS will heat your home. What more do you need?

If you want to spend more on pellets so you have less ash there are other brands out there. Try a local dealer that has some Clean Fire Pacific bags. There expensive but they burn oh so clean  Or just keep burning GS. Either way your home stays nice and warm.

Depends where they were made, NY made have a very hard to see stamped number on the upper left corner on the BACK of the bag, the NH made "good" ones have a clear stamped number on the upper right FRONT corner of the bag's, Deposit NY made being the Worst

What type of stamp are we talking about? I have a green vertical stripe and what looks to be a date with two letters in the upper left where the bag is sealed. Don't see anything in the upper right.

it's a small holes lettering stamped in the upper corners, if stamped on front of bag there Jaffrey NH, any stamps on the rear upper corners are made in NY

Here's the email a member here got a few year's ago about where there made I'm refering too........

The bag codes can be difficult to find, as they are clear, stamped numbers (not printed with ink). The codes consist of two rows of four numbers. Each number appears to be formed by tiny raised dots. On bags from our Jaffrey, NH Plant, the code is located on the front side in the upper left corner. On bags from our Schuyler, NY and Deposit, NY Plants, they are located on the back side in the upper left corner. I’ve attached two photos as examples (in each photo I traced the code in pen). You will need to hold the bag under a direct light to locate the code. I find it easier to locate codes on empty bags.

Just checked mine. They were produced in NY :(. They don't burn bad, however not as hot as a few I have tried now. I just bought a few bags of AWF White Pine (Softwood) Pellets and I am mixing with the green Supreme. I think I have a great mix now at far less then some of the higher end pellets that here in CT are well over $300 a ton

No matter how hard i look i cant find those numbers on the bag

Take one of the empty bags and hold it up to the light. The #s are about 2 inches down and 4 inches from the side of the bag. Below the perforation sealed area. Not in the top area above the sealed part of the bag. They are actually small maybe 1/4" raised #s

The ones Produced in the New Hampshire Mill are suppose to be superior in quality compared to the NY Mills.

I found the AWF in a local HD a few weeks back and bought some bags while waiting for my GS shipment.. I though it was a great pellet.. If burned alone, great heat out put and minimal ash for the same price as the GS.
Kind of wish I would have found these before ordering the GS.. But I got a deal on them so I had to take it.

Sorry to say but GS's stink.
