Looks like black cherry. Really need to see the inside also to confirm

From what I have dealt with I would say black cherry that has been around a little while ;)
 
it do look like black cherry but only a split will tell for sure.;)

That's what most of my stacks have in them for this year. Got the oak seasoning for the next two seasons. I love cherry. Splits great, smells good and burns good. I loaded at night the other night with just cherry and woke up 6 hours later to a 300 degree stove and 70 degree house. I'll take it!

oh yes my neighbor enjoys it too. He knows when i have cherry loaded and the wind is just right
