The bride . . . aka Madame DeFarge, is bugging me to make the outside of the stove look nicer. What kind of dressing or finish do you use?

Hmmmm, you have me scratching my head over that question. My stove is 5 years older than yours and my bride hasn't said a thing even though we've completely remodeled the space around it. On the outside it still looks the same as the day it was installed. What's not to like?

Engine enamel would probably work.

What's not to like?

The black is not as deep as it was...there are a few minor rust spots (as in 3 or 4 smaller than a pea) and some of the black color on the edge of the cast iron hearth pad seems to have scraped off -- probably from the ash vac's metal snout.

The Stove Bright high temp paint is a good match. It's available in all the big box stores.

I thought it sounded like you were trying to paint it as a form of interior decoration. ;lol
