I am looking to buy a cord or two and need it to be seasoned well. I bought a cord and its 3/4's oak that is not seasoned well enough to burn in an EPA rated fireplace. I will start to buy next years wood this season, but am looking for something this season to burn well.

Thanks for the replies...

Use used reputable and Long Island in the same sentence! Have you checked in with some local hearth shops to see if they knew anyone? Back when I did this on LI we got asked for wood suppliers so many times that we kept a list by the phone. 1 or 2 complaints got you off of the list fast, as selling lousy wood to our customers always resulted in our stoves getting blamed for poor performance, kind of like crap pellets in a pellet stove.

PM Dixie

Da Dix is here.

Where are you???

Can you pick it up?

Sending you a PM.

If I really won, he needs to take me for a ride on his shoulders past Isengard. we should discuss the rest in secret. Someone on here may want to check his burn time.

Dixie, can you PM me too? I'm also on LI and desperate for seasoned wood. So many crooks around here, it's disheartening.

Where are you?

Poor Dix is giving away her secret source, make sure the supplier gives you both a discount for referrals, and holds some supply for you Dix.

After you pick up some 'good stuff', don't forget to pick up a couple cords of 'the cheap stuff' for next year.
When its only $150/cord, the short loads dont hurt so much.

That's a given, Hogs.

His supply won't last much longer, and location is key :)

Sorry, not from Ridge.
