40 foot chimney

Gaining more knowledge about my NC-30 and the 40 foot chimmey it's hooked up to, I get about 2 1/2 maybe 3 hours of burn time on the wood stacked tight in the box with only 1 to 2 inch clearance from the secondary pipes ,my single wall flue pipe will read close to the stove top temp with the flue damper 3/4 shut, I can get 480 to 575 degrees of stove top heat for about 1 1/2 hours before coaling stage gets to where I have to reload, I do have bad coaling when it's time to reload the stove for the 3rd time in one day to try and keep the heat at a 500 + for longer periods of time, I think I am going to have to live with the bad coaling that I get after each load . I want to make a special thank you to Mike at Englander stove Company for giving me his patience on many occasion with the phone calls that I had with him,he surly made sure I understood what he was explaining on helping me achieve better results on my quest to performance of wood burning with the Eng 30 stove, also a thank you for all of you folks that posted your remarks on my post, hopefully in the future I can make the coaling chunks a lot less and have more ash after each load

Hoozie, I blocked off half of the secondary air port underneath with a magnet like you posted, my flames slowed down and my last reload is still reading 500 degrees after 2 hours and the splits don't seem to be glowing as much, I sure would be a gods blessing if that help some in the big chunks a coaling, will post a update later
