Myself, I have a Timberline and use it on a log with a stump vise. It's fine on 325 or 404 but it sucks on Pico lo pro loops. I still hand file the pico loops. So long as you don't turn the cutter backwards, it's fine. Turn it backwards and it's instant junk, it's tungsten carbide and very brittle. It's a handy too but it's not handy for lo pro at all.

Very nice.

Which Silvey do you have?

I am dealing on a Silvey 510 right now.

Old thread, but I have an update.

Does it get it exceptionally sharp?

Oh yeah. Sharper than a file, at least in my view and no angle deviation at all. And certainly much cheaper than a Silvey.....lol.

A used Silvey is always going to have significant value, even used though.==c

Have you tried to buy/find one? I searched a year before locating this one. I attempted to get one used but found this one new in the box.

I really kinda want one, but the price is just too much. If they were $40, I would already own one.
