Anyone know who makes these TSC pellets? I just got two bags to try and have not put them in the stove yet.

have no idea but Good that you only bought a few bags to try...
some buy tons and find out too late that they bought crapy stash.

I bought a ton last weekend. My sku# keeps pointing to energex hardwoods.
it just means that Energex bagged/ distributed them. Stove chows and slew of others from H Depot and Lowes are an example. like WalMart, pellet makers sell to the big Energex giant.
Largest pellet company on the East Coast..

Energex only actually makes 2 brands in US. [ 4 softwood and softwood blends in Canada plant.]
Energex hardwoods and Golden pellet hardwoods at US plant in Upstate Pennsylvania.
Walmart and Tractor supply are big on Pennington's but I don't know who sells to them.
prob Energex

I know of atleast 2 company's that are making the TSC private labels pellets. I don't know if there is more company's out there packaging there pellets for TSC or not. Take a look at the 12 digit number under your bar code label. As far as I know, TSC was getting there private label pellets from 2 different suppliers. Those suppliers are Appalachian Wood Pellets & Maine Wood Pellets. Rumor is the Maine Wood Pellets burn hotter and have less than Appalachian Wood Pellets. The bar code numbers are different for both, in the bar code area. For the Appalachian Wood Pellets, you will see a bar code number of something like 8 51050 00300 4. For the Maine Wood Pellets, you will see a bar code number of something like 8 52453 00306 6.

That UPC (850020 002030) points back to Indeck as the manufacturer.

Sweet, thanks for the info. How did you find that out? Now the next question is, are indeck pellets any good? I think the stove will need some food tomorrow, might try them out.

There are various sites out there that let you look up bar codes, gs1 is a good one. I've never seen Indecks before, I don't think they are sold anywhere in my area. Do a search here and you will dig up some remarks. Pretty sure Lake Girl knows about them.

Indecks are okay. Better heat than those Michigan wood fuels, but lots of ash.

I burned them @ the end of last season and had no problems. The only reason I didn't buy them this year is I bought 4 tons of the Walmart brand and it's the same pellet different bag. Paid $200.00 a ton. I burned a ton so far no problems.

I'm burning indeck pellets and lignetics, my tsc also carries Olympus Doug fir pellets, I like the Olympus alot, very clean burning.

These are basically the only brands I can find out here in the oil fields of North Dakota.

They have marth softwood pellets at Menard's but they are wanting 340/ton for them so I've been happy paying 250/ton for the other brands

For some reason I've been mixing indeck and lignetics and have a good results doing this, why have I been?? I dunno just trial and error I guess

Just purchased a ton of Smith Creek pellets at out local TSC. They had 3 tons of TSC bagged pellets-fella at the store said they were rebagged lignetics........last year they were rebagged hamers.......paid 269.50 for the Smith creeks.......they burn really well in our stove.....

Found a different UPC number on TSC bags of pellets, other than what has been mentioned so far. This UPC #7 77220 10300 1, I found just today on TSC brand pellets. I tried to look up this number, but comes back, nothing found. Would be interesting to see who re-bagged these pellets. Anybody else have any luck, finding who bagged these. Please feel free to share your findings, depending on who re-bagged those, may help me decide if I would buy them. You know, all pellets burn different.

Seems like TSC will use any company they can to bag pellets for them. I am sure the company has to agree to TSC terms.

Well the stove finally ran out, I am going to try these TSC pellets and see how they do.

Went to a second TSC store after finding the above at the 1st TSC store. The 2nd TSC store just received 24 tons of Somerset pellets this morning. Well, I came home with a ton of Somerset. I bought mine around 3:00 pm today and they where already down to 12 tons left. I thought about going tomorrow morning for another ton, heck, they maybe gone by then.

Good call grabbing the Somersets. Get another ton if you can.

Got up early, went and grabbed another ton of Somersets. Had 4 tons left. Almost sure they will be gone by noon. That's crazy tho, they will sell all 24 tons in 24 hours for sure.

I haven't see any at my local TSC's.
