Massive snow accumulation and power outages. Hope the stoves are cranking and everyone is warm and safe.

Power went out here Wednesday night for a couple hours but that's it. Still around 35K people without power. Cleaned up the foot of wet snow and then fed the fire all day yesterday.

Lost power for 24 hours. Propane back-up generator and propane oven saved the day. Wood stove kept everyone toasty.

Heading back home Sunday. Dreading the clean up. Neighbors tell me nearly a foot of wet heavy stuff came down, luckily power is on.

I'm only a mile from here but I'm about 400 feet up in elevation which seems to make a BIG difference at times. We'll see cause this shot doesn't look too bad.

Got 14" here of heavy wet. Only lost power for an hour fortunately.

Here is a 30hr in 2min time lapse I made of the storm

That was cool. It was wild to watch the trees sag!

That was very cool ColdNH. Super fast driveway cleanup there too.

Just drove home to NH from CT. There was about a 15 mile stretch just north of Concord where it looked like a micro burst came through. Obviously it was snow weight, but the sides of the highway were littered with limbs and fresh cut tree trunks from where they cleared them from the travel lanes.

Biggest post storm mess I've seen in a while! Of course it was difficult to see it all at 127 mph..

Neighbor cleared my snow bank and an area to put my truck! Can't beat good neighbors!

Couldn't quite hit 127 mph heading home from work Wed around 10 pm... was shooting for 27 mph. Came upon a tree across the road a few mile from home, but alas, was chainsaw-less.

A few cars sat there until a state snowplow came down the road from the other direction. Took him about five minute to make the decision to push the entire tree out of the road, and ten seconds to do the deed.

We lost power for about 48 hours, but the Harman paid no attention, so all was well. Dozens of trees around the house each lost a few branches, mostly 2" to 6". Not nearly as bad as both the big winter ice storm and big wind storm of recent years, each of which took down much bigger branches and trees in my neck of the woods..

It's good to hear folks reporting in safe and warm. Stay safe out there.

Lost power here on the coast for about 48 hours. Prime power diesel genset saves the day once again. Living in one of those places where, "you can't get there from here" has its advantages, but reliable electric power isn't one of them. At the end of a 10 1/2 mile, "one way in, one way out" road. Only hardship was loss of cable and internet but on the plus side, there's plenty of wood at the roadside waiting to be picked up!
