I did some research on those recently. It sounds as if they had considerable issues and were pulled off the market. I'm surprised Northern still has them available. They weren't on US Stove's website when I was looking at them.

The 7000 model looks awfully close to the Caddy and the 7700 model looks like the Max Caddy. I did some searching and came up empty handed. Our furnace is a re badged caddy when SBI made them for usstove. Mine was new old stock when usstove took them off the market. The store I bough mine from had 25 or so furnaces and sold out of them almost instantly. That was in 06 I think. I would think these were made by SBI, but the front looks different where the damper would be located.
