My basement is 2100sq ft and the Cab50 does a nice job down there. I looked at the p68 but didn't want to spend the $$.

Can you share your secret on finding that "CHEAP" oil. Last time I checked it was nearly $4/gal?
$2.53 gal for # 2 fuel oil here in central Maine yesterday !! The OPEC price war is a nice X-mas present !

Are you sure you weren't getting quoted on Kerosene? Or maybe you called Suburban who is normally 50 cents to $1.00 more per gallon than everyone else?

Here in Minnesnowta the gov declared state of emergency so they can transport more fuel oil. Diesel fuel at pump I seen yesterday for 3.86 gasoline down to 2.49
Heating oil is cheaper in the northeast more demand more companies. Although $4 gallon seems high but I have no idea about prices where you live. I saw $2.49 last night.
I have a P-43 in my basement and an Accentra Insert on my first floor. Regarding the P-43, the pipe and fresh air are run up my chimney. My basement is only 700 sq ft and finished insulation. It sounds like a P-68 may be a bit too much for your basement.

PC45 in the basement and can heat the whole house if needed. Yes probably need to get the venting up a bit off the ground to prevent plugging from snow and possible fire from a spark or two. Lots of basement dwellers on the site.
