Anyone have one? The good, and the bad. I have the 2400 insert and love it, but just buying a 2300 stove to replace my older Jotul cat stove. I have about 1000 sf to heat. How's the fan, or the stainless steel baffle?

Look at info on this forum for Drolet stoves the Austral or Myriad or Baltic or Legend.
All made by SBI including the osburn 2300 and all have the same firebox design and size.
Osburn has a fancier exterior.
Radiates heat really well , easy to operate and get reloads started easier due to the bypass damper.
Has stainless steel baffle instead of tubes in the top of the stove.
Osburn 2300 has the side shields like the legend and baltic.
Looks like Osburn 2300 sells for about 600 to 700 more than the Drolet Stoves.

I sometimes use an analogy: Osburn is a GMC and Drolet is a Chev. Same platforms, different bells and whistles.

I just received the 2300 today. I ordered it on Wednesday from SBI. They got it here really, really fast. It has a smaller glass in width, but higher than my 2400. I shoved some wood in it really tight, took it out, and than placed it in my 2400 and sure enough it was about the same inside dimensions. I like that I can n/s load it and not stick my hand in the fire. When I cut wood, I cut it around 19" to 20", so it will fit in there perfectly. Unfortunately, I am finishing the addition it's going in and won't be done til after the holidays, so my stove won't be installed til mid January.
