In as much as I know Fullmer Heating in Big Rapids, they paid top buck but itt's worth 2700. Keep in mind that you can trundle down to TSC and pick up a USSC new for a grand less. The venting pipe is worth maybe 300 bucks max.

Tell 'em you want the hearth pad too.

It's worth it. It is worth what you can talk them down to too. If they replaced it with an OWB the they ain't the sharpest tack in the pack anyway.

That depends on a couple things. If they bought a used one no biggie, a new one will be catalytic and I suspect a PITA but I think the new/old stock can be sold off first.....

Lots of wood up that way, I own 44 acres of hardwood just outside Big Rapids..... for hunting.

Maybe I should say...ugh, another Harman...................:)

I bet you could get it for somewhere between $2,200 to $2,400. Half of $4,800 is $2,400. It's a good stove from my research, but it is used and most people want stuff to disappear when they list it. If you bring cash the ball is in your court. Ask them. All they can do is say no or counter offer. I also agree with Bro Bart and if it was me I'd keep it if I were the seller and what I've seen used out there around here it's worth it. Used two seasons you are practically getting a new stove for half price.

The tack in the pack is some funny stuff. Good one!

It's a no brainer for me if that stove is in good working cond.it won't be on Craigslist for very long at that price I think it's a steal.and yeah it's a harman highly recommmed stove can't go wrong with a harman, especially one that new.i would have someone check it over well before you purchase.

It also looks like it's comes with everything to install it I would see if they will throw in the Hearth pad and all you will have to do is bring it home and put it together.assuming your install will be similar to theirs

Here in the Northeast, used ones are running $2500-$2900. However, most of them are older than that one and none are under warrantee that I have seen. Sounds like a decent deal to me. Just for S&G offer them a bit less unless you want the box under it, then ask for that to be thrown in. Worst they can do is say no, then you can decide if you want to pay their price for it or not. I don't see the word "firm" , so they might be willing to deal.

Myself, if I had a choice between a Harmin (used) and a USSC (new) for half the Harmin, would be a no brainer for me, I'd take the USSC. Don't need no stink'in fancy stove.....

It is a good price, not a fantastic price, but a workable one....

I just bought a 7 year old Accentra insert for $1500. I thought it was a good deal. Around here I might wait a few years for another one to come up.

CL is an interesting place. Some good deals, a lot of bad deals and some interesting spelling. Most items I see on there, people want way too much for junk.

That's a good stove but keep in mind that $4800 they paid is for the stove taxes delivery install and pipe material depending on your installation it may not be a steal.

You can get that stove brand-new for about $3500.

I'd buy it. I have two of them and they are flawless.

Harman stoves website showing $3899 so woul be a huge savings having everything to install plus it has an 6 year warranty hard to beat the $2700 deal

Yep but you can get $100 coupon and my dealer does an additional $250 off.

Agree though. Good deal.

Wow $3899 Sounds like a lot for a small stove. Although its a different fuel type, it makes me feel good about my harman TL-300 $1998 Brand Spankin new.

It may be small in size but it's rated at 50,000 btu

Thanks for the comments.
Have burnt wood since I was 18 am thinking of trying the pellet stove life.

Yeah, wood burners are cheaper than pellet stoves.

minus the install. Michiganders do their own installs for the most part,
