That's been my observation too!
My updates. Filed burn pot down for a better seal. Now have a more even distribution of ash. Using the logs to keep pellets from bouncing out of burn pot. I will be metal taping the inside of hopper as demonstrated in another thread for a better feed. Was burning Freedom Fuel. Ran a mix of Greene Gold and Freedom Fuel with same results. Ran a bag of Green Supreme and had no clinkers! Didn't seem as hot though. Leaks still around hopper, ash pan and some around door. I want to test around door better and try not to over tighten to see if that helps some. Waiting to hear from ESW still on how to procede. Ash pan still has me concerned the most. If it is not put on just right or if it gets bumped it can really affect the flame. Thanks for all the help!
You guys think it is necessary to filter for fines with this stove?

Where on the hopper lid do you think it's leaking, just around one side? Also, when you close the ashpan, is it not seating flush to the body of the stove?
I do vacuum my fines but I did that with my old pdvc too. Is it necessary??????.....probably not. Do you have problems with the fine in the stove?

With the hopper I can prob get 5-10$ inl around the whole lid while it is latched probably. Because of that I don't run it down too far. I fear that if it got to low on pellets it might pull more air through there. Unsure if that theory is correct or not. With the ashpan it isn't as bad but it seems to affect the flame more. Even with the ashpan as tight as you can get it you can knock the pan or tilt it and it definitely sucks air then. I think your bolts help that problem. I guess it's flush but ut doesn't pass the dollar bill test.

When your stove is low on pellets and you open the hopper lid does the flame change? If you can get something in the front of the ash pan like the bolts, you should be all set then.
On thing you can try on the hopper is to bend the lip up slightly on the stove to close the gap up a bit and retest with the dollar bill. The lip of the stove where the gasket is on bends "somewhat" easily.

Did a good cleaning, received some gasket material from ESW, thanks Mike. Doubled up on hopper gaskets and still doesn't pass dollar bill test on sides but much better obviously. Door seems very tight except I can pull a bill through the top left. Have to check the ashpan. I just don't like touching it once I get it as best I can. Will come back to it later. It seems to be running better. Glass still gets dirty in same pattern but not as dark. White-Grey, It use to be similar but when I wiped it off it would be black. Running it on 151 for now. I may experiment with gasket on burnpot and cut some air from hot air glasswash. Running Green Supreme, I seem to get less clinkers than with the Freedom Fuel. I will run the Freedom Fuel just before a big cleaning and see if they do any better now. Also have some Stove Chow and Greene Gold. I can tell it is running better even without looking at it because I can hear the pellets hitting the burnpot. I guess that means no clinkers. I wish I could post a video of the flame for opinions on it. Thanks to all for their help and input!

If you are getting a white-grey coating on the glass, your stove is burning good. These stoves glass will always eventually get dirty not matter what you burn. Some pellets way quicker than others. I would be shocked if the FF's burn better than the GS's but I think the GS's are average to less than average too....IMO. I've been testing a bunch of softwood pellets (Okies, LaCretes, Platinums, etc.) and the glass stays amazingly clean but even so it gets a light coating after a while.
