In my humble opinion it is a decent deal, I paid more than twice that in 2008 for the flat black Leyden. We have had no issues with it. You should have them fire it up in the driveway when you check it out to make sure that ignitor, auger and blowers are working. Good luck.

thanks I appreciate it. Not sure if I'm goin with freestanding or insert yet

Beautiful stove as well, my wife would have loved to have the brown enamel!

As you can see from my avatar, I have owned the same stove in brown enamel from 2008. I have had very good luck with it and puts out very good heat. Not very good at airwashing the glass though. I have this one upstairs and a Harman Accentra FS in my lower level. I clean the glass on my Lopi 3-4 times in a week, (the upper part of the glass on both sides gets covered with ash, the lower flame view is still visible) while I clean my Harman glass once every 1-2 weeks. Yes, I said weeks. It stays that clean and I use the dirtier pellets in the Harman and the better cleaner pellets in my Lopi. I paid 1600 for my used model from a private owner 2 years ago. It included an ash vac so I think I did well. Good luck.

No louder than an average air conditioner

For comparison sake, a friend has the Harman XXV, that stove's blower is much quieter than our Lopi's. The air conditioner is a decent comparison.

so really nothing that would drive you nuts when your watching tv or trying to ponder my thoughts

I am going to see if it's still available and hopefully take a look at it next weekend
