LOL, nothing we are not used to other than it being unseasonably warm. The skiers aren't too happy though. This the first Dec. I can recall that we have hardly burned at all. Blasted through a record yesterday for all December at 66F. Today it is 53F. Crazy weather.

Wind hasn't hit my area yet. Forecast is for gusts over 50, instead of the 70mph previously forecasted. I still may head to town for the night.
News out here makes it look like the entire north west is being taken back by the sea and land slides.....
Our noreaster is over so I guess it's on to the next bit of weather sensationalism for them.
BG, don't worry about the warmth, I'm sure you will pay for it soon enough, it usually averages out somehow.

We're in great shape up here in the cascade foothills. Sure, it's blowing but mostly dry and warm. Power isn't even flickering. Enjoying some whiskey with cranberry juice.

I left my house right after I lost power. Currently sitting in front of my dad's old Avalon in town. It's too warm in here!
There's no way I could sleep at my house in this wind and I'm working early shifts this week. At least I'll get some sleep here.
I talked to one of my neighbors a little while ago, as they were getting sleeping bags out to sleep on the couch. I guess the upstairs bedrooms don't sound too appealing tonight. Lucky for them, the big firs on their property would hit my house, not theirs.

As a whiskey drinker I never mix it. But if I did, cranberry juice sounds like about the last thing I would try. Tell me its worth giving a shot and with what kind of whiskey.

This is a watered down mixture of cheap black velvet, and cranberry juice "cocktail" which includes a bit of sugar, plus ice. Quite refreshing. I homebrew beer and my kegs are empty right now but no fear, the fermentation is nearly complete for a refill.
I wouldn't call myself a fine whiskey drinker. Lots of folks drink cranberry with vodka, there's even a name for it I think. I don't like vodka.

I cut down all of the trees on my property so the big firs won't land on buildings. We now only worry about garabage can lids flying off. Last night's "storm" was a major dud for my part of the south sound.

Well, besides having a carpet of small evergreen branches and needles on the yard we survived fine. Worst surprise was the BBQ cover blew off. I drank a fine spiced rum from McMennamins through the storm, on the rocks.
