I haven't seen much on this stove since it was introduced; anyone have any comments on this stove?

I have the insert, I am happy with it, but I assume you are looking for the freestanding one. Not too many people have them here. WEBBY had it and wasn't too impressed with it.

Thanks, I am looking at the free standing stove for my nephew.

It's a great looking stove.

The Free Standing Lopi Cape Cod is a freestanding stove that was in the Wood Stove Decathlon Design Competition put on by Alliance for Green Heat .
Its a 3.0 Cu Ft firebox with Hybrid Technology mean it has burn tubes and a Cat getting this stove a really low emissions number of .45 grams emissions.
Have to use 24" splits to take full advantage of the firebox size.

Hey, thanks for posting my videos!
I was very happy with mine until parts started to fail. After semi-minor failures, the stove cracked. I was offered a replacement, but after the way I was treated by the factory rep, I got in store credit rather than another one. I would skip it! The design will not be durable over time in my professional opinion.

That being said, it is an incredible heater! As was mentioned, unless you have 24" logs you are only really utilizing 2 cubic feet or so of the stove. It can be frustrating to load at times.

I can't speak to the stoves performance or reliability, but it is one of the best looking stoves today.

Just goes to show that looks aren't everything ;)

I'm not saying that some stoves are ugly, I'm just saying that they are about 8 beers away from being in my stove room.
Are we talking stoves?
