Looks like that hopper would tip the stove right over if full.
 
IMO they'll be hard pressed to get someone to lug it out for free scrap metal. That thing takes up some space. Wonder if the bargain price of $399 includes a ladder so you can load it?

What year did this contraption come out about? First I've seen. Interesting to post it though. Pellet stoves have come a long way. When did the first viable pellet stoves hit the market? 1980's ?

Whitfield WP1 was introduced in 1983. Can't remember where I store the sales flier.
