I read a report recently that Congress extended a bunch of tax credits for 2014. Does anyone know if the credit for woodstoves was extended?

Bob.

Do not believe it was, not federally at least, check your state for any state credits

Sweet it appears it has been extended through the end of the year

I don't think the President signed it yet, but its 99.9% sure thing that he will. I got a new stove this year, but can't take the credit, as I have already taken the $300 for a stove a few years ago, and before that took a couple hundred for windows, so I maxed out the lifetime $500 limit. The only thing you need to do is to keep proof of purchase (sales receipt) and download the manufacturers certification saying that the stove qualifies for the credit, and keep those two things in your records.
