2 years ago, Bought a used 2008 or 9 - trcpm can't remember off top of my head. Previous owner took good care of it, last year was 1st I used it, ran GRRREAT, used almost 3 ton of pellets all winter. This year burn pot was overloading with pellets before it was lit and took forever, had to have the igniter replaced. Had them do a full cleaning replace gaskets etc but I kept thinking the room air blower just didn'thave the high velocity that it should especially when running on 9. Guy came back out said the blower usually works or it doesn't not really in between, but had him replace it but they didn't have a brand new 1 so they gave me 1 that was technically used but in new condition something they took off another stove but turned out not to be the issue on other one. So they put it on mine and i swear it made no difference. Yes it does blow air, yes it's warm but from blower speed 1-9 it has a slight change but not drastic .I know last year I ran it on 3 heat and 4 blower & kept this place warm . I'm burning through pellets like crazy and having to turn on my oil furnace on to. Settings are the original 1 4 1 they checked. I got a anemometer to measure the velocity and btu's but haven't figured out how to yet . anything that could be wrong cause this besides the conversation blower? Also what should the air velocity reading be and the btu's reading ?

I can't help you with your specific questions, but I do have the same stove. I can't really tell the a difference between individual fan settings, although I can hear a difference when I switch from level 5 to level 6. Either way, if you're not getting the heat output you want, it's probably not the room air blower. If your fan wasn't blowing enough air, the stove would eventually overheat. Had any overheating/high limit problems?

9 out of 10 pellet stove problems are due to inadequate cleaning. Do you have the englander DVD that tells you how to take the stove apart and clean it? I get a ton of ash from behind the firebox through the small ash doors, and then a ton more when I bang on the back of the firebox with a dead blow hammer. Are you doing that? Have you cleaned your venting? What pellets are you burning? Are you using a thermostat?

No overheating errors but sum times the stove feels very hot to touch even on the sides. Did clean out the pipe be this season, I clean it weekly and do knock on that back behind the fiberboard. I sweep it out clean in that shelf thing where ashes drop down into. No thermostat, pellets are Ecoblaze pellets from here in a PA I switched to them last year and they worked really good. It's not the heat of the air but more the amount being pushed out the force of it doesn't seem enough for being on 9. I mean I think my hair dryer has more force lol

1 thing I do notice is I feel a lot of heat coming from the back if the stove in or near around the combustion blower area but not real sure where it's coming from per say

Might be worth taking a look at where the blower attaches to the stove. Is the screen on the blower clean?

The last time I took my blower off to clean and oil it, I accidentally got a wire caught between the blower and the mounting plate. That certainly didn't help airflow.

My stove feels hot on the sides and back if I'm running at high heat levels. What is the heat level when you notice all the heat off the back?

My wife's hair dryer definitely puts out more air than the CPM.

Mamabear, I have an Europa 75 and I noticed that the volume of air coming out has changed also. I can normally keep the house around 74 on level 3 and now I cant even get the temp to 70 on its highest setting of level 5. If you come up with a solution please post, I know they are two different stoves mechanically but the principle is still the same. Thanks

I'm ready to go find a dealer somewhere that can run a stove on high so I can see if it's different. . I know last year it blew harder than this I could walk by and be like wow and I heated this place on 2 3 during day and turned up at night only because I live in a mobile home and at night I try to get heat to the back .... seriously this year I've already gone through 1 and a half skids I mean heck it's only december. At this rate I'll be using 4-5 ton this year. Shoot for what a mix blend of fuel costs I might as well heat with the furnace :(........ my place is probably what 700 square feet and this stove should heat 2200 Sq feet I believe and it's a 42,000 but although I'd what but means . I wonder if there is anything besides dirt etc that could slow down the room air blower.. a connection ? Is there a switch that should be on and isnt. Is this convection blower a multi speed room air blower. Is there somewhere I can change the speed at which it runs on specific heat ranges and blower speeds?

I know on the Europa there is a speed controller for the convection and combustion fan but they are preset and are not adjustable. I have a brand new stove in a box that I have been swapping parts out with just to see if I can narrow down the problem. I have switched the convection motor, variable speed motor controller and I have just done the temperature switch. I havent had any luck yet but what I did notice is that from level 4 to level 5 (highest) the convection fan does not push out any more volume. It does seem to push out more from the startup level 3 to level 4 but no further. Ughh!!

I have also gone through every crevice with a vacuum to get all soot and ash out so I am lost at this point. At least tomorrow is Monday and I can call customer service, oh wait Europas are discontinued and there is no customer service. Maybe I can get ahold of Claude(Paromax- startup from original producers of my stove) but last time I checked is voicemail was full. Again, ughh!!

There is no other way to adjust blower speed that I know of other than the arrows on the control board. You said in 1st post that you can hear a very slight difference in sound between 1 and 9 - that's the same as I hear - it's very slight.

Reasons it may feel like less air is the air is cooler due to heat exchanger needs cleaning or perhaps pellets aren't burning hot - maybe moisture content? I know that running on 9 the stove gets hot to the touch right back to the hopper area and on the angled sides it is too hot to touch. The air leaving the top of the stove is about 200F on high, that's uncomfortable to the hands - yours should feel that hot. I heat about 1000 sq ft of a 1500 sq ft single-level ranch to ~69-70F and let's see - I've used 76 bags to date.

UPDATE : After driving myself insane I called Englander 800 # and after 40 mind waiting for a rep which type for speaker phone I could still do stuff, but anyway he had me plug the unit in and push air on temp and low fuel at same time I think and the blower speed down 1 and diagnostic started and he said wow does u r stove always make that sound and after a min or so of me thinking I'm nuts and asking over and over can anything else cause my problem he said no. So a new blower I bought & to be honest I was happy & ugh at the same time I so wanted it to be the issue so I could tell my bf that I do know what I'm talking about & at the same time thinking it can't be that simple ...can it? Got the new blower which he installed he wouldn't let me guess he wanted to be the knight in shining armour who gave me heat lol haha and I thought I'd let him have his moment since I did hurt his man pride when I got my car out of a steep driveway with no a spin of the tires after his 2 failed attempts revving the engine like it was Nascar & losing it 3/4 of the way up & I tried to tell him but he wouldn't listen needless to say it was a very quite ride home. Lol anyway got my new blower it runs nice and quite well as much as it can and boy does it throw out the heat ...yah !
