Several mentions in different threads about the primary air lever not moving all the way left (closed) on this insert. The distance typically mentioned is around 1/8 inch from going completely left. I understand why they don't want someone to shut off the air totally but when I measured my lever its a little over 1/2 inch from closing. After a couple of weeks burning I'm beginning to believe I'm getting too much air and am wondering if there is a way to adjust the air control so it might close a little more. My adjustment also will not move completely to the right which doesn't seem to be a problem for others with this model. Just another indication to me something might be wrong with the adjustment on my insert. Thanks, awesome forum.

Take off the trim over the air intake and you should be able to grind it down to slide further over if its like the 550's. I think there was a thread with this documented on the 550, I'll try and find it. I'd been meaning to do this myself but I had trouble removing the trim when I tried and haven't tried since.

Hey, thanks for that info Ohio. Think I found it here https://www.hearth.com/talk/threads/jotul-c550-rockland-tips-thread.21774/page-12#post-588880 Looks like a thread I'll want to read completely. All 21 pages

Yeah I believe that thread was what I was thinking of, though I thought there was better pics but maybe not. I've been meaning to try to do that myself but never got around to trying again.

The c350 seems very similar to the 550 so yeah I'd think a lot of the information would be useful.
