Do the two pins protruding from the jumper go thru each of the two leads?

  • IF NOT, what do I do?

I have an Englander EP-25 Stove. While attempting to install a remote control thermostat, I hit a snag. The instructions say to remove the jumper and attach both wires from the receiving unit to those two locations. The connections on the wires coming from the receiver unit would be touching if I attempted to attach them there. What am I missing??? Thanks in advance folks!

I just checked the manual online and the connector block is pretty much standard fair for stoves. I wire lead per screw should do the trick. I someone stuck something else in the stove post a picture an someone should get some help.

When you say "connectors will be touching" are there some sort of wire connectors on the ends of the receiver unit leads? If so, you may need to cut those off and strip some bare wire for the thermostat terminals.

Just remember, you cant claim you truly have lived in Maine until you go through winter and mud season :) !
