Deb & I would like to wish All of you out there in Hearth Head Land the Merriest of Christmases. If that offends you, oh well. Take the time to celebrate with your family & friends & also take a moment to thank those in the employ of the US Military, Law Enforcement Officers & First Responders who aren't able to be with THEIR loved ones as they do their jobs near & far.

Just finished up all the wrapping, now to keep the dog from opening his gifts until tomorrow morning!

Merry Christmas all! Lil' Badfish is three this year and really getting into it. We left cookies and milk and carrots for the reindeer next to the open furnace door (no Christmas fire here either-mid 50s and raining :p) and tomorrow morning she'll awake to a trail of these leading from the furnace to the tree:

Wow. It has been three years already? Seems like last month.

Time sure does fly...when I joined this site in 2007 I was a young buck just out of college dreaming of my first house with a woodstove. Now we've been in our house six years, heating it with the Englander for five, and with not one but two little ones. It's been fun to share things along the way with the hearth.com gang. So about those hoofprints-how's this for proof?

Yeah I remember Lil' Badfish had a lung problem at birth. Hope that is a distant memory now.
